• Carrie Halladay, LPC

    FOUNDER

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I started my private practice in 2003 with the goal of helping others find peace and joy in their lives. My goal as your therapist is to leave you in a better place than I found you. You and I will work together to accomplish this mission. I offer individual counseling services for the stressed out, broken-hearted, over worked, under-appreciated, confidence-lacking, worn out, anxious and depressed. I use cognitive behavior and solution focused therapies to help you regain energy and focus in life. It’s possible and I can help you get there. I am a no BS type of person- in my personal life and at work. I work with my clients to quickly uncover the source of anxiety, depression and life dissatisfaction to achieve your goals.

In addition to being a counselor, I’m a mom, a wife, a sister, aunt and Mimi to my grandson Reed. I enjoy working, hanging out with my family, antiquing and craft fairs.

  • Christina Bunn, LPC

Hi! I am Christina Bunn. I love the counseling profession and the role that I get to have in facilitating my clients toward the positive changes that they want to see in their lives. As a counselor, I bring warmth, directness, authenticity, and even humor when appropriate in my sessions. I see each client as they are in their own individuality and respect them as the only expert about what they want or need in their lives. My goal is to always meet my clients where they are in their journey and to remain beside them as a guiding support in their steps toward their desired quality of life. .

I lean toward the following therapeutic approaches in how I structure my sessions: cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered therapy, and solution focused therapy; however, I realize that no approach is “one size fits all” and I pride myself in being able to think outside the box.

My primary areas of experience include trauma, depression, anxiety, general life adjustments, serious mental illness, problems related to gender identification and sexual orientation, victims of domestic violence, behavior problems in adolescents, as well as many other areas. I have working experience from the community mental health setting, college counseling department setting, and the school-based setting; therefore, I have experience with individuals spanning from age 5 and up.

Aside from my education and training as a counselor, I also have a variety of life experiences that help me in how I bring empathy and understanding to where my clients are in life. I am a mother, wife, sister, daughter, and a mom to fur babies. Outside of the office, I spend my time with my husband, children, and fur babies, and absolutely love the moments we have together. We live very active lives participating in and supporting our loved ones in their endeavors.

Come in, get comfortable, and let’s talk. To begin, it’s that simple. When a client comes in for counseling, they are my favorite subject. I love people, and I love to hear the stories that have made them who they are today. Truly listening and being present with another person is why I love what I do. From mild situational stress to severe trauma, there is relief to be found through the therapeutic process. I consider it a privilege to be apart of that journey for each person I see. Every client’s needs are different, therefore, my treatment approach is always adapting and evolving to the current need. Together, we can untangle the past, learn to find peace in the present, and move toward a healthier, happier future.

  • Erin Halladay, ALC

Hi, my name is Erin Halladay and I am practicing now with my Associate Licensed Counseling degree under the supervision of Anjuli Thompson, LPC-S. You may have seen me in the office during my intern days. My true passion in life is to help others and I find counseling is the way I get to connect and help others the most. My goal is for you to feel comfortable in my office and look forward to being here even when times are difficult. I want to help you discover your best self and help heal the parts of you that others may not know exist. I offer individual counseling for adolescents trying to figure out who they are, postpartum moms adjusting to their new lives, those enduring heartbreak, those feeling lost and lacking confidence, those with depression and anxiety, and those seeking to learn new skills to cope with everyday life. I use cognitive behavior therapy and solution focused therapy to help people regain who they are and take control of their lives. It’s no secret that therapy can take time but I am hoping I can offer you a faster route to where you want to be.

In addition to being a counselor, I’m a mom to two (Reed and Birdie) and I hold many other titles in my family. I am a family oriented person and love spending time with them anyway I can in my free time. Target trips are something that bring me joy. I love to bird watch during the spring and summer in the mornings. Being outdoors brings me relaxation and calm. The last fact about me is my first career choice was nursing in which I gained many valuable skills and knowledge that even help me with my counseling career today.

I look forward to getting to know you!

  • Anna Shinn, LPC

I earned my education from Jacksonville State University. I am currently an Alabama

Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. I have specialized training

in the provision of EMDR treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. I spent ten years

working in the community mental health system where I gained an expansive amount of

experience across so many populations of individuals and settings. Since transitioning out of the

community mental health setting in Spring 2023, I have been providing counseling in the private

practice setting and through online platforms. I utilize an eclectic approach to providing

counseling sessions which, for me, essentially means that I use the theory, methods, and

interventions that best meet the client at the time rather than sticking to any specific pre-defined

structure. Additionally, when appropriate, I do occasionally pull from my own unique life

experiences to help me in my work with my clients, The commitment I give to each and every

one of my clients is that I will do my best to make sure that I am able to understand where they

are coming from, will always provide them with compassion, and will keep them in the driver’s

seat of where we go in their path toward the goals that they have for their life.

Aside from being a counselor, I spend my free time having all types of fun adventures

with my husband, kids, and pets.
